Pros

  • Top city for small business growth
  • Lots of city festivals
  • Among the safest cities in the nation

Cons

  • Bridge congestion and traffic during rush hour
Old Louisville boasts the largest collection of Victorian homes in the nation. This historic district is a charming neighborhood in the Louisville, KY metro area. It covers nearly 50 city blocks just north of the University of Louisville and is actually home to an eclectic mix of students and professors from the school, in addition to local artists and other young professionals. As a result, it's a fairly diverse area, ethnically and economically. This district is undoubtedly pedestrian-friendly and has the most pedestrian-only streets of any community in the nation.
